This Blog was set up for Tim and I to keep a record of our 2011 freedom Challenge story and for our friends to be able to have somewhere to read what we were doing, we have decided to carry the blog on as we are still doing stupid things that people may want to know about, or not ? Day One Pmb to Allendale
The 6 o'clock start in pmb was not too cold and the weather held out all day, 97 kms in 13 hours today and we did not get lost once, we both fell off the bikes and at silly places where we were going about 5 kms a hour. The route down in the valley of the Umkomaas was terrible, the river is in flood and it was very tricky getting through to the bridge. Arrival at Allendale was sweet, we are both tired and Dana our host has made us most welcome, 05h15 start in the morning so off to bed.
