Day 4 of the Spine

Today should have been an easier day as we on had 53 km to cycle, all went well until we hit the 30 km up hill, and my legs fell off. Tim and Annette were strong on the hill in the heat, me I practised my Freedom Challenge walking ! We were treated to Kudu and Bushbuck on the road both of which seem surprised to see us.

Once at the top of the climb we got to the over night stop of Kurisa Moyo a little known lodge that is really one of the nicest places to stay in the world, Lisa has kept everything as green as possible from recycling cans and bottles to using indigenous materials to build. You do not need to bring anything the cottage and other accomadation has everything, which is good as we could not have carried anything on the bikes today.

The weather has been kind, hot but no rain yet today, and we will be cycling out of the back of the lodge and up into the mountains on a new route that Lisa has had cleared for cyclists. Double up tomorrow and parts are on tar, lets see what the day brings, hopefully some legs !
